Q
I would like to have a marriage registration in Prague. Which one should I choose? Civil registration or symbolic registration?
A This depends on your preferences and actual situation. The main difference between the two is that civil registration has the force of law and is recognized by the country of origin after the marriage certificate is notarized; symbolic registration is easier and more flexible (it is even ok if you contact us only a week in advance) but this registration is a marriage ceremony only, has no legal effect, and is more suitable for couples who want to have civil registration in their country of origin or who have registered to marry already.
Q
Am I eligible for marriage registration in Prague? What documents should I prepare?
A The requirements for documents vary depending on the applicant’s nationality, type of registration and place of registration. In general, birth certificates, marriage certificates (marriage/unmarriage/divorce certificates) are required from the country of origin, and apostillation/superlegalization and translation are required. Please contact our staff and we will provide you with a list of the required documents based on you and your partner’s situation. We will be responsible for communications with the Czech authorities, checking and translating when you have the documents ready.
Q
When is a good time to have marriage registration in Prague?
A Choose the time you want. From April-October, the weather is good enough to be registered outdoors and take wedding photos outdoors. Of course, we also have a range of indoor venues to choose from, most of them churches and very European style. So don’t worry about time.
Q
I also want to have a wedding reception in Prague. Is it possible?
A There is no problem at all. Please contact our staff in advance and we will tailor it to your request.
Q
I would like to place an order, how can I pay?
A We accept bank transfers, Transferwise, Paypal, WeChat payment and other forms – please contact our staff for specific information. Only 30% of the full price is paid as a deposit on the date of booking (whichever is the amount provided by the staff member) and the remaining amount is payable on the date of registration.
